David Ellwand

David Ellwand has been a professional photographer for over 30 years and published over 20 books for children, including the groundbreaking Fairie-ality. Ellwand works in both digital and analogue media. He's a darkroom wizard and compulsive collector of vintage cameras and photographic equipment (check out RetroPhoto!). He has his own photographic studio and darkroom in West Sussex. He also likes to craft by hand – dresses for fairies, teddy bear sets, Damascus steel knives forged with his own charcoal, or recycled metal and enamelled sculptures and jewellery.
